Drew Paton

Drew was born and raised in Southern Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. After graduating from Northern High School, he earned his business degree from Fairmont State University in 2006. His time and experience at FSU sparked his love for West Virginia and its people. Upon his receiving degree, he went into the mortgage industry in Maryland before making his way back to West Virginia to call it home.

In 2007, Drew opened an insurance agency that grew into a successful career of over 17 years before selling and retiring from the changing industry. While working in insurance, he earned Marketing Conference awards, management achievements, and LUTCF designations.

Amid his insurance career, Drew sought out an area of great interest to him and obtained his real estate license. He spent five years working in residential real estate to grow more knowledge and networking in the market around him.

Following his insurance career, Drew returned to his true passion of real estate. Combining his extensive relationships from his years in the insurance industry with his experience of both residential real estate and the mortgage world, Drew is prepared and energized to be part of the Black Diamond family.

Drew, his wife Allison, and their three children reside in Fairmont. Drew is very involved in his community with coaching and supporting his kids’ teams and activities. You can often find him at a variety of Fairmont State sporting events, WVU games, and cheering on his beloved hometown teams of Washington Commanders and Baltimore Orioles.

He proudly serves on the Fairmont State Board of Governors, the board for Marion County Chamber of Commerce, and the Financial Council at St. Anthony Church.
